Anda and I (Will) are in Asheville, NC waiting out a storm in the Arts District. Our fingers are stained purple from the feast of mulberries we had on the way here. The first tree we found was in the Edible Park: Bountiful Cities Project: G.W. Carver Edible Park . The second, growing next to a church furher down the road.
We are looking forward to finding more gems like the Edible Park during our stay in town. What's equally exciting is that we have the opputunity to build our own back home. Charlie Kain, of the original five Recyclists, is working with New Leaf Initiative -a group in State College,PA dedicated to getting sustainable projects off the ground- to raise an Edible Park in a couple vacant lots at the edge of Downtown.
As I was writing this post, Anda informed me that we have the opportunity to visit Earthaven. Looks like a gem found us...

Really, with everything that you have mentioned about the park, I kinda like the idea that I visit there with my family soon!
